Win a Pizza Party and Get a Tasty Cookie on Thursday and Friday!

Thank you to all who have already donated food items to help combat food insecurity and support families in need. We are urging you and your families to help with donations through this Friday, November 22.

Drop your donations off to your English class on Thursday, November 21 and Friday, November 22, and pick up a cookie from your English teacher. This is on a first come first served basis so be sure to drop your donations off early and only during breaks and passing periods. Please DO NOT interrupt class.

Currently, the English class in the lead is Ms. Farley's 1st period, followed by Ms. Li's 2nd period, then Mr. Clack's 5th period class.

We’re excited to announce that The SIA x Interact Club is partnering with BHS Leadership, Service Commission, the Rotary Club of Burlingame, The Samaritan House, and the BHS English Department to host a food drive to curate 500 food items for impoverished communities within San Mateo County. The drive will take place starting November 4th until Thanksgiving break, and will be Thanksgiving themed.

Please donate any unopened, unexpired food items and bring them to your English class to help those in need:

Baking/cooking ingredients (flour, sugar, oil, baking mixes, broth, mac & cheese, etc.)
Protein (canned tuna, canned chicken, nuts)
Canned food (soup, legumes, baby food, fruit, etc.)
Dry food (ramen noodles, grain rice, legumes, fruit, cereal, crackers, snacks, etc.)
Beverages (coffee, tea, hot chocolate, powdered drinks, etc.)

The English class that donates the most will receive a pizza party!!
